Psychotherapist (LPC/LCSW/LMFT)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Child/Adolescent Psychotherapist to join our dynamic mental health team. In this role, you will provide evidence-based psychotherapy services to children and adolescents facing a variety of emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges. Your expertise will support young clients in overcoming mental health issues, fostering resilience, and promoting overall well-being. - Psychologists.
- Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW).
- Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC).
- Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT).
Current NJ License, active, able to work with children at age 6-17 years, young adults.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-10 coding standards to determine appropriate treatment plans for children and adolescents.
- Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, DBT, TF-CBT, ERP, EMDR.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies to manage acute mental health episodes effectively while ensuring safety and stability for clients.
- Utilize telehealth platforms to provide remote therapy sessions, maintaining HIPAA compliance and ensuring seamless patient care across different settings.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, special educators, pediatricians, and case managers to coordinate comprehensive care plans.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, medical records, and detailed progress notes in accordance with HIPAA regulations and CPT coding standards.
- Engage in ongoing clinical research and data collection to enhance treatment efficacy and contribute to evidence-based practices within pediatric behavioral health.
Experience:
- Proven experience working with children and adolescents in outpatient or inpatient mental health settings.
- Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy techniques such as motivational interviewing, behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, grief counseling, PTSD care, addiction counseling, and crisis management.
- Familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding for diagnostic evaluation and medical documentation.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), including behavior management and play therapy.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to pediatrics, chronic pain counseling, gender issues counseling, and special education needs.
- Telehealth experience is highly preferred to facilitate flexible patient access while maintaining high standards of patient care.
