ER Registered Nurse Job Details

• Position Type: Locum tenens (Travel Nursing Contract)
• Location: Union, South Carolina 29379
• Healthcare Setting: Emergency Room (ER)
• Shift: Night, 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00 - 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Assignment Duration: 17 weeks (September 8, 2025 – January 5, 2026)
• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Charting System: EPIC
• Parking: Free on-site parking
• COVID-19 Vaccine: Required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1710-$1750

ER Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (pending license accepted; must obtain prior to start)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience preferred; 1 year considered case-by-case
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Ability to pass arrhythmia and medication tests on first day of orientation
• Experience with EPIC charting system preferred
• Willingness to work holidays as required by contract
• Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency care to neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Manage a 1:4 patient ratio during night shifts in the ER
• Administer blood products, IV vasopressors, and continuous IV sedation
• Perform triage, phlebotomy, and initiate IVs
• Interpret ABGs and dysrhythmias; manage ventilated patients
• Provide trauma care, including gunshot wounds and traumatic amputations
• Maintain isolation precautions and administer procedural sedation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and more)
• Adhere to attendance and compliance policies
