Python Developer

Akkodis is seeking Python Developer for a Contract job with a client in Jersey City, NJ/Plano, TX(Hybrid). Responsibilities include hands-on application development to support regulatory capital reporting and collaborating with multiple technology teams to implement the target architecture and migration to a strategic platform.

Rate Range: $65/hour to $68/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Python Developer job responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining applications to support regulatory capital reporting, ensuring compliance with Basel rules.

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and migrate to a scalable and sustainable capital reporting platform.

• Writing optimized and efficient Python code for data processing, performance tuning, and system integration.

• Implementing data source elements and business logic for calculating risk-weighted assets and generating Basel rules-based capital ratios.

• Troubleshooting, debugging, and perform performance profiling for data-intensive applications.

• Ensuring high-quality code through testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of applications.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 8+ years of experience in Python development, with 4+ years in big data technologies like Spark and Hadoop.

• Expertise in performance tuning and optimization of data-intensive applications.

• Experience with SQL programming, preferably with databases such as Oracle Exadata.

Pay Details: $65.00 to $68.00 per hour
