Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract Occupational Therapist position is available in a PreK-8th grade school setting located in Passaic, NJ. This onsite role supports students requiring occupational therapy services within the school environment. The position offers approximately 15 hours per week, filling a leave vacancy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students from PreK through 8th grade.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on students needs and educational goals.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to enhance student progress.
- Conduct assessments and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and regulatory guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of student intervention strategies.
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy licensure.
- Experience delivering occupational therapy services in a school setting.
- Knowledge of pediatric OT techniques and developmental milestones.
- Ability to work effectively with children across a broad age range (PreK-8th grade).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
