Accounts Receivable Collector
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Collector to join our
finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing customer accounts,
ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances and maintaining accurate records.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required to perform daily tasks efficiently and support financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor and manage assigned accounts to ensure timely payment of outstanding
invoices.
• Contact customers via phone, email, and other communication channels to follow
up on past-due balances.
• Resolve payment discrepancies, investigate billing issues, and coordinate with
internal departments as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collection activities in D365.
• Generate aging reports, analyze trends, and escalate high-risk accounts to
management.
• Assist in cash application and ensure proper allocation of payments in D365.
• Prepare and distribute regular AR and collection reports using Excel.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes as needed.
• Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach in all interactions.
Required Qualifications
• 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable or collections.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data
analysis).
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations or
similar ERP systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize workload.
• High level of integrity and confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working in a high-volume AR environment.
• Familiarity with credit policies, dispute resolution, and collection strategies.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
