Licensed Prosthetist / Orthotist
We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Prosthetist / Orthotist to join our Edison, NJ clinic. This role emphasizes patient-centered care and involves designing, fitting, and adjusting custom prosthetic and orthotic devices. As a clinical leader, you will directly improve patient mobility and function through innovative treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
Role Overview
As a Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO) , you will manage a varied caseload of patients, overseeing every stage of care—from initial evaluation to long-term follow-up. This role requires collaboration with physicians, therapists, and clinical staff to provide seamless, high-quality care for each patient.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and develop personalized O&P treatment plans.
- Design, fit, and adjust custom prosthetic limbs and orthotic devices for optimal comfort and function.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians and physical therapists .
- Educate patients and caregivers on device use, maintenance, and skin care.
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and treatment documentation in compliance with regulations.
- Monitor patient progress and perform necessary modifications or repairs over time.
Requirements
- Active New Jersey Prosthetist / Orthotist license required.
- Board certification via ABC or BOC required.
- Previous clinical experience in prosthetics and orthotics preferred; recent residency graduates welcome.
- Strong interpersonal and patient communication skills .
- Commitment to ethical, evidence-based care and positive patient outcomes.
