Test Technician III

Job Description

The Test Technician will perform operational tests on a wide variety of moderately complex production components, subassemblies and systems using data sheets, schematics, wiring diagrams, established test specifications and standard test procedures, which clearly outline procedures to be followed.

1. Sets up and operates in accordance with prescribed procedures a variety of test stands consisting of multiples of standard test equipment such as pulse generators, amplifiers, oscilloscopes, voltmeters, counters, spectrum analyzers and network analyzers etc.
2. Works with engineering instructions and standard test procedures to operationally test developmental products as required.
3. Aligns and adjusts subassemblies and/or systems in accordance with test procedures and data sheets to comply with established specifications and acceptable performance.
4. Interprets test data and checks results against specifications, test procedures and data sheets to determine proper functioning and test quality of product.
5. Deviates from standard test procedures as required to troubleshoot, locate and diagnose malfunctions within the unit requiring application of technical knowledge, skill and ingenuity. Realigns and readjusts unit as required.
6. Approves / rejects test results. Records test data and submit test failure/acceptance reports. Notifies supervisor of unusual conditions or undesirable trends.
7. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.

This position has a unique, flexible work schedule:
Weekend Day Shift working Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 5AM to 5PM. You will work 36 Hours and be paid for 40 Hours plus earn a 10% pay premium.
OR
Weekend Night Shift working Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 5PM to 5AM. You will work 36 Hours and be paid for 40 Hours plus earn a 15% pay premium.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Typically a High School Diploma OR GED.
At least 2 year degree at a Technical school and/or College degree
Or At least 4 years work and/or equivalent experience.
The ability to obtain a Secret Clearance

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $61304 - $98086

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
