THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE NEW JERSEY HOUSING AND MORTGAGE FINANCE AGENCY INVITES APPLICATIONS FROM QUALIFIED CANDIDATES FOR THE FOLLOWING:
Job Title: Multifamily Mortgage Processor Salary Range: 8 Division: Multifamily/Supported Housing and Lending FL Status: Non-Exempt Issue Date: 10/22/24 Closing Date: 12/15/24 Union Status: Administrative Bargaining Unit, Non-Exempt Employment Status: Full time
Under supervision, assist the Credit Officer in the processing of Multifamily loan applications. Organize and maintain electronic and physical project files. Create a document checklist for each Multifamily project. Collect, track and distribute for review and approval of the submitted documents required to satisfy the document checklist. Accompany the Credit Officers' on-site visits; prepare site visit inspection reports and correspondences. Perform related duties as assigned.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review applications and perform an initial review of all documents submitted. Correspond with the developer for missing documentation.
- Create the document checklist, project files, and summary folders for each Multifamily project.
- Track and disseminate the submission of all documentation in the document checklist for review and approval to each perspective division.
- Maintain and file copies of all documentation in the project folders; record the status of the documents on the checklist.
- Schedule and coordinate site visits in conjunction with Technical Services divisional staff; attend site visits with the Credit Officer and complete site inspection checklists as required.
- Prepare Property Information Sheet for appraisal request, gather and submit documents required for the appraisal report.
- Participate in checklist conference calls with the Credit Officer and provide updates on the status of the projects.
- Prepare required memoranda and extension letters when an extension is requested by the developer and approved by upper management; follow up with applicable Divisions and Management in obtaining the necessary approvals.
- Generate inactive letters for signature as necessary.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Educaton/Experience:
Two-year college degree and five (5) years of responsible experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates & Licenses Required
A valid driver's license in the State in which the person resides is required only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
Skills:
- Knowledge of real estate development principles, municipal land use laws and housing finance mechanisms.
- Knowledge of Federal and State housing programs.
- Knowledge of Excel and other spreadsheet software.
- Knowledge of Microsoft software.
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing and to listen actively.
- Ability to accomplish multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Ability to meet processing deadlines.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to maintain a positive work atmosphere in an appropriate manner of behavior that ensures cooperative and effective communication with clients, peers, and management.
Physical Demands: Non-physical
Working Conditions: General office environment; some travel may be required.
