Business Analyst

Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst/Project Manager to join their operations team. This person needs to have technical knowledge, as their focus is on leading and building out products. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills to clearly communicate with presidents of companies, not just other analysts; articulate needs; present project plans and drive alignment. This is a senior-level hybrid role that combines strategic project leadership with hands-on business analysis, specifically within the property and casualty insurance space. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, technically literate professional who can lead digital product initiatives, while engaging with both internal stakeholders and external partners.



Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of digital product builds, ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines and compliance standards.

• Gather, document and validate complex business and technical requirements across underwriting, operations and IT.

• Manage project plans, risks and communications, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.

• Facilitate collaboration among business leaders, developers, QA and external vendors or carriers.

• Conduct stakeholder interviews, lead workshops and drive consensus on priorities and scope.

• Translate business needs into actionable user stories, process flows and technical documentation.

• Oversee UAT planning, execution and defect resolution.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in a combined PM/BA role with a strong background in property and casualty insurance (carrier, MGA or broker)

• Proven success leading complex digital initiatives, especially in underwriting, policy administration or self-service platforms

• Strong communication and negotiation skills, including experience engaging with executive stakeholders and external partners

• Technical fluency (understands digital platforms, authentication flows, APIs and system integrations)

• Highly organized, detail-oriented and comfortable managing ambiguity in fast-paced environments

• Proficient in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, and Microsoft Project and Excel

Pay Range:

The anticipated pay range for this position is $60-65 hourly, based on experience. We understand that salary is an important factor in a job search, and we encourage you to apply even if you feel that your desired compensation may fall outside of the listed range. The final pay for this position is determined based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant experience, skills and certifications, education and training, geographic location, market conditions, and internal equity.
