Senior Accountant

Kforce's client, a Publicly Traded Financial Services Company located in Parsippany, NJ is expanding and looking for a Senior Accountant SEC. The role will be 2 days in the office & 3 days work from home. Summary: This person will monitor and analyze general ledger accounts, financial statements, and related reports to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data. The Senior Accountant will perform complex account analysis, support financial close activities, and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities:

• Responsible for preparation, review and coordination of quarterly and annual SEC filings (Forms 10-Q and 10-K)
• Prepares and reviews monthly account analysis and reconciliation
• Establishes, interprets and analyzes complex accounting records of financial statements
• Creates journal entries and adjustments
• Assists with preparation of financial statements
• Prepares analytical review of financial statements during closing process
• Handles field questions concerning financial results
• Performs monthly financial close and financial statement preparation
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts
• Assists and provides support with annual external audit and budget processes
• Ensures integrity of financial statements; Ensures financial statement compliance with GAAP, company policies and governmental requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA or equivalent) preferred
• 4+ years SEC reporting &/or public accounting
• Experience auditing publicly traded clients
• Experience working with accounting systems and general ledger structures
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting processes
• Proficiency with spreadsheet and financial reporting tools
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
