Senior Accountant
Kforce's client, a Publicly Traded Financial Services Company located in Parsippany, NJ is expanding and looking for a Senior Accountant. The role will be 2 days in the office & 3 days work from home. Summary: This person will monitor and analyze general ledger accounts, financial statements, and related reports to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data. The Senior Accountant will perform complex account analysis, support financial close activities, and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities:
- Senior Accountant will prepare, review, and coordinate periodic financial reports and disclosures
- Perform detailed monthly account analysis and balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintain and analyze complex accounting records and financial statement data
- Prepare journal entries, adjustments, and supporting documentation
- Assist with the preparation and review of financial statements during the close process
- Conduct analytical reviews of financial results and investigate variances
- As a Senior Accountant, you will respond to internal inquiries related to financial performance and reporting
- Support monthly and annual financial close activities
- Assist with external audits, budget preparation, and related financial processes
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial statements and supporting records
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA or equivalent) preferred
- Five or more years of relevant financial accounting experience
- Experience working with accounting systems and general ledger structures
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting processes
- Proficiency with spreadsheet and financial reporting tools
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
