We're hiring a Material Handler for a premier manufacturing plant in Mays Landing, NJ

Shift/Pay: Monday-Friday No Weekends!

1st shift (6am-2:30pm)@ $18.00

Environment: Non temperature controlled where machines are running, and some areas may be loud and dusty. Employees are required to wear steel toe boots, long pants, and safety gear including glasses, gloves and ear plugs.

Job Description

As a Material Handler, you will contribute to accident-free operations and ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements and regulations. You will inspect and operate forklifts, provide necessary supplies to extrusion operators, and assist in various production tasks.

Responsibilities

• Inspect forklifts daily, change propane tanks as needed, and operate forklifts safely.
• Ensure extrusion operators and production assistants obtain needed supplies and materials in a timely manner.
• Assist in wrapping and banding finished material and moving it to storage areas.
• Scan completed material racks before transporting to designated storage areas.
• Assist in loading regrind into silos or bags as directed.
• Operate and maintain grinders as requested.
• Provide production support in staging bins, skids, and raw materials.
• Assist in recycling cardboard and other waste products.
• Assist the Receiving Department in loading and unloading trucks.
• Observe and document silo readings to ensure appropriate amounts of material are available for daily production.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervision or management.

Skills

• Experience in production and general production tasks.
• Proficiency with hand tools.
• Carpentry skills.
• Experience as a pallet builder.
• Ability to contribute to accident-free operations and compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements and regulations.
• Skill in operating forklifts and changing propane tanks.
• Capability to assist in various production tasks and provide support in staging materials.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
