Job Title: Operations Support Coordinator Location: Elizabeth, NJ (Onsite - Erie Street Plant)

Schedule: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM EST

Contract Type: Contractor (Onsite)

Pay Rate: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
Summary

Looking for Operations Support Coordinator to join the team at the Erie Street Plant. This position plays a key role in supporting daily operational activities, including department communications, administrative functions, meter measurement support tasks, and coordination with external service providers. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong multitasking abilities, and possesses excellent communication and office software skills.


Responsibilities Administrative & Communication Support
  • Manage all incoming and outgoing department communications.

  • Maintain and organize departmental files and documentation.

  • Process payroll, time entry, and PTO requests.

  • Perform accurate data entry and maintain records as required.


Procurement & Financial Coordination
  • Prepare purchase orders and receipts.

  • Code invoices and track backorders to ensure timely follow-up.

  • Assist with utility billing and gate station permitting.


Meter Measurement Support
  • Assist with purchases, scheduling meter changes, and coordinating meter maintenance.

  • Generate Maximo reports and support BPU reporting functions.

  • Track and update meter-related documents and operational reports.


External Services & Regulatory Support
  • Coordinate services such as landscaping, security maintenance, and other vendor activities.

  • Support regulatory training and emergency response training coordination.

  • Oversee calibration scheduling and maintain equipment calibration records.



Requirements
  • Proficiency with office software, including Google Maps, Google Earth, Workday, and Maximo.

  • Strong computer skills with experience creating requisitions and managing time systems (timesheets, sick time, etc.).

  • Solid Excel skills and familiarity with data entry tasks.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and note-taking abilities.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Prior administrative or office experience preferred, but not required.
