Job Description

Norstella is looking for an experienced and motivated finance professional to join the team as a Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). In this key role, you will serve as a strategic finance partner supporting Norstella’s Commercial and G&A business units, overseeing P&Ls, reporting, and overall business performance. You’ll work directly with General Managers and budget owners to manage budgets, analyze variances, and prepare materials for monthly operating reports.

This is a high‑impact opportunity to take a leadership role within the FP&A function, driving improvements in financial modeling, planning, and reporting. You will help strengthen forecast accuracy and refine key performance metrics. In addition to supporting day‑to‑day financial operations, you will contribute to long‑term strategic planning by delivering clear, actionable insights to senior leadership. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem‑solver with strong analytical skills who thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment and is committed to contributing to Norstella’s long‑term strategic growth.

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as a finance partner to G&A and Commercial, providing end-to‑end financial support and insight.
  • Partner with accounting and RevOps to align forecast revenue with actual delivery schedules and contract terms.
  • Own forecast accuracy through detailed vendor analysis, accrual assumptions, and historical trends.
  • Work directly with General Managers and budget owners to manage budgets, monitor performance, and align financial plans with strategic goals.
  • Oversee P&L management, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis and prepare monthly Sponsor Operating Reports with clear, executive-ready insights.
  • Build and refine financial models to support budgeting, scenario planning, and decision‑making.
  • Develop and implement standardized reporting processes and KPIs.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required.
  • Experience: 5+ years of prior experience, ideally in FP&A at a high‑growth private equity‑backed SaaS company.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong command of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and P&L ownership.
  • Modeling & Analysis: Advanced Excel skills and experience developing robust financial models and forecasts.
  • Tools: Familiarity with planning/reporting tools such as Tableau, Adaptive Insights, Hyperion, NetSuite, and Salesforce.
  • Business Partnership: Proven success supporting cross‑functional teams and influencing senior leaders.
  • Process Improvement: Strong ability to create scalable processes, align cross‑functional teams, and implement best practices in reporting and planning.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for presenting complex data in a clear, actionable manner.
  • Problem‑Solving: Creative and proactive approach to identifying and resolving financial challenges.
  • Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities and thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.

  • Bold, Passionate, and Mission‑First
  • Integrity, Truth, and Reality
  • Kindness, Empathy, and Grace
  • Resilience, Mettle, and Perseverance
  • Humility, Gratitude, and Learning

Benefits

  • Medical and Prescription Drug Benefits
  • Health Savings Accounts (HSA) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)
  • Dental & Vision Benefits
  • Basic Life and AD&D Benefits
  • 401k Retirement Plan with Company Match
  • Company Paid Short & Long‑Term Disability
  • Paid Parental Leave
  • Paid Time Off & Company Holidays

Eligibility & Compensation

All candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. Norstella does not provide visa sponsorship or transfers and is not currently accepting candidates on an OPT visa.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $110,000 to $125,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
