About the Role

McCormick & Priore, P.C. is hiring a Litigation Associate Attorney to support the continued growth of its Princeton, New Jersey office. This is an opportunity to join a growing litigation practice where attorneys are trusted with meaningful responsibility, supported by experienced partners, and given the flexibility to manage their work with a high degree of autonomy.

This is a hands-on role where you will manage cases from inception through resolution, handling substantive litigation work rather than being limited to a narrow portion of the process. Associates work directly with clients, take and defend depositions, appear in court, and play an active role in case strategy and resolution.

What You'll Be Doing

• Manage a caseload of civil litigation matters from assignment through resolution
• Handle court appearances, depositions, motion practice, and discovery
• Draft pleadings, motions, legal briefs, and correspondence
• Conduct legal research utilizing LexisNexis, Westlaw, and other legal research platforms
• Communicate directly with clients and provide case updates
• Work closely with supervising partners while maintaining ownership of your files
• Participate in litigation strategy discussions and client-facing interactions
• Gain exposure to all phases of the litigation process, including trial preparation

Requirements

• 2+ years of civil litigation experience
• Active New Jersey Bar admission required
• New York Bar admission is a plus
• Strong legal writing, research, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage cases independently and meet deadlines
• Experience drafting motions, pleadings, and litigation-related documents
• Proficiency with legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw

Preferred

• Experience in insurance defense litigation
• Experience handling depositions and motion practice
• Background working with insurance carriers or high-volume litigation environments
