We are looking for a dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our team in Sparta, New Jersey. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a vital role in maintaining a welcoming and efficient front office environment for our healthcare practice. This role requires excellent organizational and communication skills to ensure a positive experience for patients and staff alike.
Responsibilities:
• Greet patients warmly and assist them with checking in for appointments.
• Enter patient demographic and insurance information accurately into the system.
• Collect co-payments and outstanding account balances during patient visits.
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain necessary referrals for services.
• Schedule appointments effectively, ensuring smooth coordination of the calendar.
• Travel to other locations within surrounding counties when required.
• Provide rotating weekend coverage as part of the team.
• Maintain a detail oriented and friendly demeanor to foster a positive patient experience.
• Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) software efficiently to manage patient information.
• Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist.
• Familiarity with insurance processes and eligibility verification.
• Proficiency in using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to interact with patients and staff.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
• Ability to adapt to travel requirements and rotating weekend shifts.
• Positive and affirming attitude towards patient care.
