Spark Car Wash is a high growth, institutionally backed express exterior car wash company serving the Northeast. Spark is growing fast and plans to open a significant number of modern car wash locations throughout NJ, NY, and PA. Position Summary
Spark Car Wash is searching for a Chief of Staff to the CEO to help shape corporate strategy and culture as we build the leading express car wash company in the region. This role plays a pivotal role in Spark’s growth, owning high-impact initiatives that support the business with scaling operations, driving revenue growth, and increasing store count. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments and is motivated by the opportunity to build something extraordinary from the ground up — directly influencing how our sites operate, how our people grow, and how customers experience the Spark brand every day.
This position is based out of our corporate headquarters in Summit, NJ, and follows a schedule of Mondays – Thursdays on site and Fridays remote optional.
Essential Functions
- Partner with the CEO to drive culture and strategy deeper into the organization
- Own coordination and execution of leadership team meetings, including agenda development, materials, follow-ups, and action tracking
- Manage Board of Directors interactions, including meeting preparation, materials development, and ongoing communication
- Drive annual planning and strategic goal-setting processes; track progress and ensure accountability throughout the year
- Lead cross-functional business updates, analyzing reporting and preparing insights from operations, finance, growth, and people teams into clear narratives
- Own and execute high-priority, cross-functional special projects tied to growth, scalability, and operational excellence
- Support internal and external communications, ensuring consistent, clear messaging aligned with Spark’s values and brand
- Develop high-quality presentations and materials for leadership, board, investor, and employee audiences
Requirements
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Strong understanding of corporate strategy, operations, and scaling in a high-growth environment
- Ability to partner closely with senior leaders and exercise sound judgment and discretion
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex information clearly
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and managing multiple priorities in fast-paced settings
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn data into actionable insights
- Advanced proficiency in creating executive-level presentations and materials
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in ambiguity
- Ability to influence across teams without direct authority
- High ownership mindset and alignment with Spark’s values
Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degreerequired
- 3–5 years progressive experience in strategy, operations, consulting, private equity, or a high-growth/entrepreneurial environment
Preferred Skills, Experience, Education
- 3+ years of experience with a multi-unit, consumer-facing, or growth-oriented business
- Experience supporting senior executives and working closely with leadership teams
Physical Job Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
Travel Requirements
- This position requires overnight domestic travel less than 25% of the time
- This position commutes between stores and headquarters less than 25% of the time
- Anticipated travel by car, air, and/or train
