Volt is immediately hiring for Facilities/Construction Project Engineer–in Clifton, NJ 07014
What are the main functions of this role?
- Oversees and coordinates the cost, schedule, technical aspects of ongoing Facilities engineering projects within the program guidelines set by the Facilities Manager and customer.
- Serves as single point-of-contact between Facilities engineering project management, planning, Facilities, and line management.
- Reviews status of Facilities engineering projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
- Assesses Facilities engineering project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives.
- Develops mechanisms for monitoring Facilities engineering project progress and for intervention and problem solving with Facilities engineering project managers, line managers, and customers.
- Provides the coordination between resource managers/supervisors and ensures all necessary reviews and approvals are received.
- May conduct performance/project analyses during phase-down to benefit future/other engineering projects, missions, and programs.
Ideal candidate must have:
- Senior professional with strong knowledge of Facilities and Construction areas and broad knowledge of project management.
- Skilled in Stakeholder Management, effectively coordinating with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure alignment on project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
- Ability to manage complex projects or processes with general oversight.
- Communicates within and outside of own function to gain cooperation on operational processes, practices, and procedures.
- Able to make moderate to substantial improvements to systems and processes.
- Contributes to achievement of departmental goals and operating plans with direct impact on the departmental results.
This is a 12-month, Full- time- Contract to possible hire opportunity.
Prefer:
- Certification Preferences: PMP, FMP, CFM.
- Microsoft Suite including MS Project.
Education Level Required:
- HS Diploma
Pay Ra nge: $55.00 - $ 60.00 per hour.
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
