Position Description: Summary/Objective
Architectural Project Manager is responsible for all phases of design and construction of projects from beginning to completion, while performing a supervisory role in assigning and reviewing the work of other team members
\tAbility to handle multiple projects or one account with diligence and commitment.
\tReview and develop construction plans requested by the client
\tOversee the work done by assistant project manager and draftsperson
\tOversees drafting, review shop drawings and respond to RFIs
\tAnalyze and estimate project cost for labor, equipment, and material
\tMonitor progress of all construction phases in compliance with building plans and deadlines
\tManage correspondence with clients, vendors, consultants, building departments, landlords, construction team and other personnel involved in projects
\tReview and research state and local code compliances
\tPrepare reports and presentations for client meetings
\tExecute site surveys on a need basis
\tManage people on the team and their expectations and review and approve timecards of the team in a timely manner
\tPerform miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the Senior Project Manager/Studio Director/Director of Operations
Qualifications
\tBachelors Degree or higher in Architecture or related field
\tMinimum 6 years of experience as a Project Manager in an architectural firm
\tMinimum 4 years of experience in Retail Architecture required
\tAbility to interpret construction data, engineering calculations and drawings
\tProficiency in AutoCAD with strong 3D design skills required, with basic knowledge of Revit SketchUp, Photoshop or Illustrator preferred
\tProficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
\tExperience drafting retail or commercial construction documents preferred
\tMust possess strong time management and people management skills and the ability to handle the pressure of tight deadlines
\tMust be able to travel on need basis
