Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Chief MRI/CT Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising the MRI/CT department which includes overseeing the training of technologists, staffing , managing the day to day workflow, ensuring quality control, overseeing the technical aspects of the MRI/CT department, and performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and computed tomography (CT) scans to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
The Chief MRI/CT Technologist must have a strong understanding of leadership skills and anatomy and physiology, be proficient in medical imaging techniques, and work closely with staff to ensure the comfort and safety of all patients during procedures, while maintaining high standards of care.
The ideal candidate must hold:
NJ State license in Diagnostic Radiography (RT)
Certifications from AART (R) (MR) (CT)
BLS or ALS Certification
Responsibilities
- Plan, assign, and supervise technical staff performing diagnostic scans.
- Assure that all staff administer the highest level of care when performing procedures in a safe manner.
- Perform Q/A procedures to assure compliance with policies and procedures and state regulatory agencies.
- Perform MRI/CT scans on patients as per physician orders, ensuring high-quality images for diagnostic evaluation.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, answering questions, and ensuring their comfort.
- Operate MRI/CT equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including scan results and any relevant medical history.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Adhere to aseptic techniques to prevent infection and maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
- Stay updated on advancements in medical imaging technology and practices to enhance skills and knowledge.
Skills
- Proficient in supervisory skills in planning and directing of all medical staff.
- Proficient in medical imaging techniques, particularly MRI/CT scanning.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology to accurately assess images for diagnostic purposes.
- Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations effectively while maintaining patient safety and comfort.
- Knowledge of medical terminology to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and document findings accurately.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact compassionately with patients during procedures.

Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Weekends as needed
License/Certification:
- New Jersey State X-Ray License (Required)
