Part Time to Full Time Mechanic
Salary : Commensurate with experience
Description: Part Time to Full Time General Mechanic for 20 Vehicle Fleet and small equipment. You will maintain and repair a variety of construction equipment, Isuzu NPR trucks, GMC vans, Chevy S10 Pickups and small landscaping equipment. Must have small equipment knowledge and general auto repair. You should have your own basic set of tools. To qualify, you must have knowledge of a variety of engines and ability to diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems. Welding knowledge a plus. Specific duties include: timely repair & preventative maintenance on small engine and vehicles with diesel and gas engines.
Applicant should have the following skills:
- Must be able to work weekends
- You should be capable of heavy lifting (up to 60 pounds).
- Manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- A track record of adhering to scheduling and attendance requirements.
- Has excellent attendance and can handle responsibility.
- Highly productive with minimal guidance or supervision.
- Experience in any of the following areas is preferred: cooling systems, electrical systems, diesel/gas engines, fuel systems, steering, and suspension, auto body repair, painting and welding. Must have general knowledge and experience with all around repair and diagnostic skills.
- Welding knowledge a big plus
- Maintain a safe work environment.
- Demonstrate persistence, strive to improve skills and achieve goals.
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
