Project Staff Accountant

Kforce's client, a Publicly Traded Financial Services Company located in Parsippany, NJ is expanding and looking for a Project Staff Accountant. Summary: This person supports finance and accounting projects while partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and a strong internal control environment. The Project Staff Accountant maintains general ledger balances, prepares periodic financial reports, and ensures compliance with applicable accounting standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities:

• Project Staff Accountant will participate in finance and accounting-related projects
• Maintain general ledger account balances and supporting documentation
• Prepare accurate monthly financial reports and accounting summaries
• Review accounting documents for accuracy and compliance with policies and accounting standards
• Assess and document the impact of projects on internal controls
• Assist with updating and implementing accounting reports and reconciliations resulting from projects
• As a Project Staff Accountant, you will identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, procedures, and reporting efficiency
• Stay current on available technologies and evaluate how they may enhance accounting and reporting processes
• Apply appropriate accounting and reporting guidance to financial transactions related to assigned projects
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 1-3 years of financial or general accounting experience
