Quality Control Microbiologist

Are you a Quality Control Microbiologist looking to make an impact in the medical device industry? A top-tier global medical device leader in Mahwah, NJ is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Microbiologist to join their team. In this dynamic onsite role, you will support manufacturing operations by ensuring the sterilization, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance of life-changing orthopedic products.

responsibilities:

• Conduct routine microbiological testing, water sampling, and environmental monitoring in compliance with USP, ISO, and cGMP standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with GDP and perform data entry for trending analysis.
• Identify microorganisms and assist in out-of-specification (OOS) investigations.
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment while managing inventory and reagent preparation.
• Assist with the review of analytical worksheets as assigned.

qualifications:
Required:

• Strong knowledge of cGMPs, OSHA safety guidelines, and standard compendia testing methods.
• Proven ability to handle multiple testing assignments independently in a timely, compliant manner.
• Excellent manual dexterity and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred:

• B.S. degree in Biological Sciences or a related field with 2+ years of QC microbiology laboratory experience.
• Prior experience with medical devices, aseptic technique, and environmental monitoring.
