Senior Medical Information Specialist
Job Title: Senior Medical Information Specialist
Location: Nutley, NJ
Type: Contract
Compensation: $50.00- $62.50
Contractor Work Model: Hybrid
Hours: 40.0 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Respond to medical information inquiries from health care professionals, patient/consumers, field staff, internal business partners, and other customers, utilizing standard medical response documents or creating ad hoc responses as appropriate
- Ensure medical accuracy of company's advertising, promotional, and scientific materials as part of Copy Review Committee and Medical Review Committee, collaborating with Medical Information Managers and Medical Directors; ensure scientific information aligns with product labeling where appropriate
- Monitor scientific literature for potential adverse event reports and report findings to Product Safety within established timeframes
- Research and analyze scientific literature related to company's marketed products, investigational compounds, competitor products, and disease states; contribute to communication, reporting, and documentation of findings
- Develop, review, and update standard medical responses, AMCP dossiers, FAQ documents, and other medical information resources
- Provide scientific support for stakeholders on ad hoc projects and initiatives
Requirements
- Advanced bioscience degree required (PharmD preferred)
- Demonstrated scientific knowledge and expertise, preferably with oncology experience
- Prior knowledge of US regulatory standards related to pharmaceutical communications and dissemination of medical information
- Excellent verbal and written skills, with experience in medical writing and development of scientific communication materials
- Strong literature database search skills and expertise in literature evaluation and summarization
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry medical information or related discipline
