The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

The Lead Technologist of the MRI department is responsible for assisting the supervisor in the day to day operation of the department. Manages the Quality Control Program for the department. Functions as a MRI Technician and completes all job requirements for the staff-level position.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required,

  • Must have ARRT MRI Certification

  • CPR certified or willing to obtain within six months of hire,

Preferred:

  • 3-5 years hospital experience as a lead/chief technologist preferred

  • Siemens and GE experience preferred

Essential Functions:

• Apply knowledge of growth and development over the life span.

• Function as primary teaching technologist to the students.

• Help the supervisor in developing new protocols and procedures.

• Provide input to the supervisor for the evaluations of the technologists.

• Follow the rules and regulations of Department of Environmental Protection (State) strictly.

• Help the technologists in difficult and/or complex procedures.

• Initiate service calls and documents.

• Maintain and operate all workstations.

• Maintain harmony among staff technologists.

• Maintain the department in a clean and neat condition.

• Order required supplies and maintains par levels in CT suites.

• Perform the duties of staff technologist as needed. A. Rotate within the department on call and weekend schedule as required.

• Performs all duties in a friendly and courteous manner offering assistance to physicians, patients, families, visitors and co-workers. Extends courtesy and consideration to others in all interpersonal relationships, including telephone contacts. Demonstrates the ability to respond to instruction from peers or superiors in order to complete department tasks. Demonstrates the ability to determine the proper time to discuss differences in work strategy. Performs other departmental duties as prescribed by supervisory personnel. Works overtime when needed. Assists in the performances of non-technical tasks within the department. Performs other duties as needed.

• Prepare daily work and call schedules.

• Schedule daily, weekly and monthly quality control procedures for all CT equipment and checks for timely completion.
