Martinelli Plumbing & Heating, Inc. is hiring a skilled HVAC Service Technician who can both perform quality HVAC service work and effectively communicate service options to clients. This role is ideal for a technician who enjoys hands-on problem-solving while building trust with customers and offering service upgrades without high-pressure sales tactics. You will be responsible for residential and light-commercial HVAC service calls, including diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs. You will also serve as a key customer contact—explaining findings, providing repair options, and recommending system enhancements or replacements when appropriate.

Qualifications & Skills

• 3+ years of HVAC service experience (residential or light commercial)
• EPA Universal Certification required
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Sales-minded but customer-focused—able to present solutions without pressure
• Clean and valid driver’s license required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in crawl spaces or attics
• Experience with mini-split systems, boilers, and heat pumps is a plus
• NATE certification preferred but not required

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly Pay: $25–$35+ per hour (based on experience and performance)
• Sales incentives and performance bonuses
• Weekly pay cycle

Work Schedule

• Full-time, Monday through Friday
• Occasional weekend or overtime work, depending on emergency service demand

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems
• Perform routine service, maintenance, and inspections
• Clearly communicate findings and recommended solutions to customers
• Offer service upgrades or replacement options in a consultative, non-pressure manner
• Complete service reports and maintain accurate job documentation
• Maintain truck inventory, tools, and equipment
• Follow all safety protocols, local codes, and company procedures
• Coordinate with dispatch and office staff to manage schedules efficiently
• Maintain a professional appearance and deliver outstanding customer service
