A highly progressive and customer focused global logistics company is seeking qualified candidates to design, develop and maintain business application solutions for our organization and our customers. This position will provide leadership to our business community and customers and will focus on providing quality business process driven solutions.

Essential Position Functions:

1. Provides quality leadership and expertise for our business community and customers in the use of all applications, interfaces and automated business solutions.
2. Responds to and resolves all reported user issues in a prompt and quality manner.
3. Designs, develops and maintains automated business application solutions and related interfaces.
4. Works with software vendors to ensure all business requirements are met on a timely basis and all applications are running without issues.
5. Performs root cause analysis on applications and interfaces to ensure problems can be resolved as quickly as possible.
6. Designs, develops and implements EDI interfaces with business partners and customers.
7. Works on problems of a diverse scope while being able to address several issues at the same time.
8. Creates operational and ad hoc reports for our business community and our customers.

Position Requirements:

• Minimum of seven years of application development experience and responsibility of application management with strong business process optimization expertise.
• Bachelor’s Degree or IT related certification.
• Experience with designing, developing and implementing EDI solutions. Experience with XML and managing electronic exchange solutions.
• Strong knowledge in the use of Microsoft Excel and Adobe.
• Strong knowledge and experience with SQL
• Experience with MS SQL and Oracle.
• Strong experience with project management.
• Experience with the following applications is desired:
• Kewill Customs and TMFF Export
• ETA Air Application
• Accounting applications
• Warehouse Management
• .NET or Java experience
• Detail oriented with excellent analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
• Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and written.
• Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Ability to work well with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical and business experience.
• Must be accustomed to working on various issues simultaneously while ensuring quality results.
• Position may requires off hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Some travel, including overnight travel, will be required.
