McWane Ductile New Jersey is an industry leader in manufacturing water distribution and infrastructure products. As our country expanded, so did the need to supply growing cities with clean water and safely remove wastewater. Our location history starts in 1865 when Warren Foundry and Machine Company casted stoves, steam engines, mill gearing and other foundry related items. Currently we specialize in the casting of iron ductile pipes that range from 3" to 24" in diameter.

Job DescriptionBundler for the Finishing Department ensures sufficient supply of lumber and wedges are ready and available. Ensure all bundling equipment is in working order. Ensure the pipes are lined up evenly on all slides. Touch up or remove the excess paint from bells. Nail wedges on to the lumber. Operate the elevator table. Fill out bundling report correctly. Inspect paint coating on all pipes for defects. If applicable; Must complete all required Environmental training specific to this job. Any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
This position requires strong attention to safety, teamwork, and the ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Pay Rate between $25.17 and $28.17
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs functional and visual checks on bundling station equipment
- Reviews daily production schedule and makes note of any special processing
- requirements
- Recognizes and operates control functions of bundling station
- Performs bundling operations
- Monitors the quality of spigot stripe, and notifies supervision of any problems
- Applies touch up paint to pipe as necessary
- Identifies all cuts and marks bell face completely with correct color code
- Performs other miscellaneous duties as required for bundling configuration
- Inspect the quality of the pipe that is processed through the bundling station, touch up pipe as necessary
- Identifies and segregates non-conforming products to ensure that it does not
- enter finished goods bundles
- Consults supervision or Finishing Department Quality Checkpoint Guide regarding questions on:
- Pipe Identification
- Process Markings
- Non-Conforming Pipe Markings
- Non-Conforming Pipe Conditions

Physical Demands :
- Requires working outdoors, exposed to all weather conditions and temperatures.
- It requires walking, bending, and/or squatting. Requires using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Occasionally requires carrying objects that are up to 50lbs by hand.

Work Environment:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and extreme heat.
- The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions as well extremely hot conditions The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and vibrations.
- The noise level in the environment is loud.
