Get to Know Your Team:

• Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.

• The RN Staff Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population in order to achieve desired outcomes.
• This position directs and oversees the care provided by other caregivers through delegation, validation, evaluation, and coordination.
• This position effectively coordinates patient care/unit activities among nursing peers, physicians and support services.
• The RN Staff Nurse reports to the Nurse Manager

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an NLN/AACN-accredited program in nursing
• Current valid NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license.

• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS)
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
• 2 years of experience required
• Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) Certification, with successful completion of
  certification within 6 months of hire
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENCP), with successful completion of
  Certification within 6 months of hire
• Experience with electronic health records is a plus

The rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components, such as differentials and call pay, depending on the role.
