Job Description

The Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) provides personal care, companionship, homemaking, and overnight support services that promote client comfort, safety, and independence at home. All services are provided under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).

Responsibilities Include:

• Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
• Providing overnight supervision and safety monitoring
• Offering companionship and emotional support
• Light housekeeping, including laundry and maintaining a clean, safe environment
• Meal planning, preparation, and grocery shopping
• Assisting with ambulation, transfers, and prescribed exercises
• Supporting client independence while preserving dignity and respect
• Monitoring and reporting any changes in client condition to the supervising nurse
• Participating in company-provided training and continuing education (CEUs)

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey CHHA Certification (required)
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• CPR certification preferred
• Clear background check and drug screening
• Dependable, compassionate, and strong communication skills
• Reliable transportation required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to safely lift up to 30 lbs and assist with mobility
• Ability to travel to client homes (some locations may not be wheelchair accessible)
• Good vision, hearing, and overall physical health

• Salem County
• Cumberland County
• Nearby surrounding areas
