Medical Receptionist Bilingual Spanish Speaking
About the Role:
The Medical Receptionist plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare facility. This position is responsible for managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate patient records, all while providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will facilitate communication between Spanish-speaking patients and our medical staff, ensuring that all patients feel welcomed and understood. Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Previous experience in a medical or healthcare setting.
- Experience using an Electronic Health Record system.
- Proficient computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with health insurance preauthorization
- Experience in customer service or patient relations.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, managing the calendar to optimize the flow of patients.
- Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details and medical history, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist Spanish-speaking patients by providing translation services and addressing their inquiries or concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area, ensuring that all necessary materials and resources are readily available.
