We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Scrap Laborer to join our team in Mays Landing, NJ. As a Scrap Laborer, you will play a crucial role in the processing and handling of scrap materials, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities- Sort and categorize scrap materials according to type and quality.
- Operate machinery and tools safely to process scrap materials.
- Assist in loading and unloading materials from trucks and containers.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to minimize risks.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a labor-intensive role is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of safety practices in a labor environment.
