Finance & Accounting Manager:

Summary:
This position will play a pivotal role in overseeing our accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance processes. The ideal candidate will be a technically strong accountant with demonstrated leadership skills, deep knowledge of GAAP, and proven experience optimizing systems such as NetSuite. You will: take on increasing responsibility for financial reporting, cash flow management, and strategic planning; demonstrate leadership by building a scalable accounting function and mentoring staff and become a trusted financial advisor to the executive team.

Key Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
*Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger.
*Lead monthly and year-end close processes, ensuring timely, accurate financial statements.
*Prepare and analyze balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
*Oversee cost accounting, inventory valuation, and reserve calculations (E&O, shrink).
*Maintain 13-week cash forecast model and monitor liquidity.
*Establish and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
*Ensure compliance with US GAAP, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
*Coordinate external audits and tax filings, serving as primary contact for auditors.
*Oversee risk and insurance requirements.
*Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning.
*Conduct financial analysis to support investment, cost optimization, and business decisions.
*Lead process improvement and automation initiatives, leveraging NetSuite to enhance efficiency and reporting capabilities.
*Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a high-performance culture.
*Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial visibility and decision-making.
*Assume broader responsibilities in reporting, cash management, and strategic finance as part of ongoing career development.

Qualifications:
*Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred.
*7-10+ years of progressive experience in accounting/finance, including management experience.
*Strong expertise with NetSuite and advanced Excel.
*In-depth knowledge of US GAAP, reporting standards, and compliance.
*Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage audits.
*Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
*Adaptable, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
