Property Controller
Our tenured client, a leading industrial real estate company in Central, NJ, is searching for an experienced Property Controller.
In this role you will:
Oversee accounting functions for an assigned portfolio, including GL, AR, AP and cash management.
Manage month-end and quarter-end close process, including JE's, accruals, and financial statement preparation.
Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Review and analyze financial statements
Prepare annual operating budgets with property management and leasing teams.
Perform detailed variance analysis comparing actual results to budget and prior periods
Provide strategic financial insights to support asset management decisions and long-term portfolio planning.
Prepare annual CAM reconciliations and tenant billings, including supporting schedules and variance explanations.
Ensure proper vendor setup, contract compliance, and adherence to payment terms.
Provide financial analysis related to leasing activity, including tenant improvement allowances and leasing commissions.
YOU might be the RIGHT person if YOU have:
5-8+ years of related industrial/commercial property controller experience
Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university is preferred; eight or more years related experience and/or training required. CPA preferred.
K nowledge of accounting software and an advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
