Job Overview:

To receive, inspect, and verify all incoming supplies and equipment and delivers as appropriate.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High school diploma
• Valid NJ driver license

Scheduling Requirements:

• Day shift
• Weekends: Saturday, Sunday, Monday
• Per Diem

Essential Functions:

• Fills storeroom requisitions and carries or delivers to requesting departments
• Obtains authorized signatures for accepting supplies and deducts such items from computerized inventory system by keypunch input
• Maintains established inventory levels with aid of computerized reports and periodically takes physical count of stock on hand and reports any variances to the Materials Manager
• Stocks and maintains specified items in the General Storeroom in a clean and orderly manner
• Notifies Materials Manager of usage fluctuations
• Examines materials for expiration dates, removes expired material from shelves and notifies the Stores Purchasing Clerk
• Completes other reports periodically, listing such dates as shipment received, materials issued or requisitioned, equipment received, nutritional usage and back-order reports
• Files and maintains Receiving Purchase Order file
• Works along with Accounts Payable clerks to resolve any discrepancies on shipping documents
• Assists in taking inventory as required
• Makes minor repairs of items in stock and assembles minor equipment on occasion
• Logs and tags all hospital equipment
