The Direct Support Professional provides essential assistance to individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. This role involves supporting 4-6 clients per shift, typically working 8-hour shifts that include local travel to client locations. The position emphasizes personalized care, clear communication, and thorough documentation while offering on-the-job training opportunities for professional development.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities and personal care
- Support clients’ transportation needs and facilitate local travel
- Ensure client safety and manage risk effectively
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and incidents
- Communicate regularly with clients, families, and team members
- Manage a typical caseload of 4-6 clients per shift
- Work 8-hour shifts, providing consistent and reliable care
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
