Atlantic Valve Services (AVS) is a full-service safety relief and control valve repair center supporting the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Region. Our team of highly skilled technicians perform a dynamic range of services to include but not limited to valve repair, in-line testing, upgrades/modifications, and turnkey outage solutions to premier leaders in the process industries.

VALVE TECHNICIAN
(SEASONAL WORKFORCE PARTNER)

Specific to our valve services business segment, our facilities include our facilities include our full-service PRV/control/isolation diagnostics and repair center in Swedesboro, NJ; and our assembly and diagnostics facility co-located at its headquarters in Royersford, PA.

As a full-service valve repair operation, we pride ourselves in having a best-in-class team of skilled technicians perform a dynamic range of services to include but not limited to valve repair, in-line testing, upgrades/modifications, and turnkey outage solutions to premier leaders in the process industries.

A big part of our success specific to our outage solutions offerings is the emphasis we put on our valued relationships with seasonal workforce partners who enjoy the comradery of working with our teams in the field but benefit from the flexibility of choosing which outages or projects they would like to engage in and in what locations. Due to this, we are in a continuous mode of identifying new seasonal workforce partners and integrating them into our teams.

We are targeting the following types of skilled technicians:

• AOV (Air Operated Valve) Instrumentation & Controls Technician
  • Performs preventative and corrective maintenance on Air Operated Valves, actuators, and instrumentation in the field.
  • Responsible for the installation and removal of instrumentation in support of a variety of mechanical services.
  • Conducting valve diagnostic testing on a variety of valves and working with plant engineers on data analysis.
  • Troubleshooting valve problems in the field.
  • Adherence to strict safety requirements of the nuclear industry and other process industries.

• MOV (Motor Operated Valve) & Actuation Technician
  • Performs preventative and corrective maintenance on Motor Operated Valve Actuators.
  • Responsible for actuator component disassembly/re-assembly, inspection, and lubrication.
  • Responsible for the removal or re-installation, limit switch setting, torque swing adjustments, and calibrations.
  • Adherence to strict safety requirements of the nuclear industry and other process industries.

Requirements:

• Technical School training and/or relevant working experience.
• 3+ years of experience in process valve repair, assembly, and calibration in any of the above applications.
• Previous experience supporting an outage or shutdown with a tight schedule. Experience with nuclear outages is a plus.
• Experience with AOV diagnostics. Knowledge of Flowscanner/Quiklook software a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interface with customers required.
• Candidates should expect and be able to thrive in a work environment that requires flexibility and continuous change.
• Able to be badged into a nuclear power plant.
