Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf Club in Pine Hill, New Jersey is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.
Position Overview:
Candidates will have the opportunity to be a part of a golf operation that is continuously evolving with various construction projects taking place each year. Assistant Superintendents will work closely with the Director of Agronomy, Superintendent and other assistants to direct, and monitor all maintenance aspects of the golf course. The ideal candidate must be highly motivated, reliable, and eager to learn. Candidates must also have the willingness to work the hours required to uphold the high standards of Pine Valley Golf Club, as well as have a strong eye for detail with a desire to advance in the turf maintenance industry.
The selected candidate will also be responsible for the proper handling, mixing, application of pesticides and fertilizers, and accurate recordkeeping. They will provide supervision and directly participate in the daily maintenance of the golf course.
Requirements
• Two or four-year degree/certificate in Turfgrass Management.
• Must be able to obtain a New Jersey Pesticide license in a timely manner.
• Prior experience working on a golf course in a supervisory role preferred.
• A team player who is capable of working with other assistants and crew members.
• A detailed oriented individual.
Compensation
$23 per hour.
