Production Support Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Production Support Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Pennington, NJ(Hybrid) . The ideal candidate will provide expert-level support for production systems across Windows and Linux platforms, ensuring stability and rapid issue resolution.

Rate Range: $77/hour to $80/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Production Support Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Act as a subject matter expert, leading technical triage and resolving issues in live production environments.

• Perform SQL/data analysis, log reviews, and system troubleshooting across Windows and Linux platforms.

• Manage incident, problem, and change processes, ensuring timely resolution and minimal business disruption.

• Collaborate with application managers and development teams to support deployments and minimize production impact.

• Monitor and maintain information security tools, patch management, and system health using tools like Splunk and Ansible Tower.

• Ensure high availability and performance of applications through proactive monitoring and root cause analysis.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a production support or systems operations role.

• Strong proficiency in Windows and Linux systems, with hands-on experience in SQL and database technologies (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).

• Experience with information security tools, monitoring technologies, and platforms such as Splunk, Ansible Tower, and BladeLogic.

Pay Details: $77.00 to $80.00 per hour
