Patient Care Technician I - Per Diem, Various 12 Hour Shifts, ICU, Atlantic Health Chilton Medical Center

Job Description

Principal Accountabilities:

• assisting patients with mobility: ambulation, transfer, discharges and ROM activities
• assisting patients with activities of daily living
• performing post mortem care
• measuring and recording I & O
• performing EKG's, phlebotomy and blood glucose monitoring
• observing and reporting changes in patients' condition to the RN
• maintaining phlebotomy equipment and inventory and all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

• High school graduate or equivalent required

Preferred:

• 3+ months related nursing assistant experience and /or CNA training strongly preferred
• BLS preferred
• Prior acute care experience strongly preferred
