Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Luxury Residential Community Manager to oversee the daily operations of a new apartment community in Hackensack, NJ (Bergen County). The ideal candidate will have Class A property experience and will be responsible for managing staff, achieving financial and operational goals, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management: Develop and analyze budgets, set competitive rent rates, ensure timely rent collection, and prepare financial reports.
- Lease Enforcement: Approve resident applications and renewals, conduct apartment inspections, and manage eviction processes as necessary.
- Marketing Strategies: Analyze market trends to implement effective marketing and leasing strategies that meet occupancy and revenue goals.
- Resident Relations: Foster resident satisfaction by promptly addressing inquiries and service issues.
- Property Oversight: Conduct regular inspections to maintain safety, cleanliness, and aesthetic appeal of the property.
- Staff Management: Hire, train, and evaluate property staff, ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Client Relations: Maintain communication with property owners, providing updates on performance and responding to requests.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Prepare various financial and administrative reports as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies.
- Identify and implement process improvements for operational efficiency.
Working Conditions:
- Office environment (no remote work)
- Must be able to access all areas of the property.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds with assistance.
- Flexible schedule and availability via phone/email outside of working hours.
Required Qualifications:
- Class A property experience is required.
- Valid driver’s license and any necessary state/local certifications.
- Proficiency in property management software (preferably Yardi or OneSite).
- The ability to work a Tuesday to Saturday schedule if and when needed (based on property leasing / occupancy needs at maintaining 95% leased)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management.
- Excellent mathematical skills for financial reporting.
- Proven leadership and management abilities.
Education:
- High School diploma or GED, with relevant experience in property management, sales, marketing, and customer service.
