Salary: $11.03-18.39 per hour

Universal Technical Resource Services, Inc. (UTRS) is currently seeking an Engineering Technician Intern to join our team! This person will be participating in an on-the-job learning environment. This position is located at Picatinny Arsenal.

What will you be doing?

This position will be a key member of the Prototype Manufacturing team. Duties to include On the Job Training for:

• 
  General welding and joining
• 
  Operation of manual machining, milling and turning
• 
  Operation and setup of CNC machinery
• 
  Capable of performing basic shop tasks
• 
  Support engineering activities
• 
  Assists with day to day needs of the shop

What skills will the ideal candidate have to be successful?

This position will require the following skillsets and experience:

• 
  Pass drug and alcohol testing
• 
  Must have good mechanical skills and experience
• 
  High standard of quality and efficiency
• 
  Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• 
  Solid knowledge of shop mathematics
• 
  Must be a team player, able to multitask and prioritize accordingly
• 
  Basic PC knowledge (MS Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• 
  Must be able to work in a physical capacity, lifting and moving heavy object
• 
  Must be a US Citizen
• 
  Must have a valid drivers license and be able to obtain a government drivers license
• 
  Working towards a High School diploma
• 
  Currently enrolled in a high school, metal working/welding class
• 
  Must have at least 2 years in high school metal working/welding class or equivalent experience
• 
  Knowledge of CAD systems a plus
• 
  Strong hands on mechanical skills
