Project Manager

Akkodis is seeking Project Manager for a Contract job with a client in Jersey City, NJ(Hybrid). You will be responsible for managing work streams and collaborating with both business and technology stakeholders to solve complex Market Risk technology problems.

Rate Range: $68/hour to $73/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Project Manager job responsibilities include:

• Leading work streams and collaborating with business and technology stakeholders to address Market Risk Exposure Management challenges.

• Proposing technology solutions, facilitating agreement among stakeholders, and managing cost estimation and budget approval processes.

• Developing prototypes using Python, SQL, Excel/VBA, and providing data analysis leveraging Big Data platforms like Apache Hadoop.

• Managing project life cycles using Agile methodologies, including documentation, development of Epics and Stories, and overseeing UAT activities and releases.

• Coordinating with teams to ensure timely resolution of defects, demonstrating new functionalities, and adhering to risk mitigation plans.

• Driving process improvement and policy development initiatives impacting market risk technology, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Desired Qualifications:

• A degree in Computer Engineering, Finance, or a related field.

• At least 5-7 years of experience in project management, specifically within Market Risk or Financial Services.

• Strong financial markets product knowledge and understanding of the regulatory landscape.

• Proficiency in technical skills such as SQL, Excel, VBA, and Python with experience in Agile methodologies.

Pay Details: $68.00 to $73.00 per hour
