Urgent Care Veterinary Technician - Voorhees NJ
Veterinary Technician – Urgent Care
Skilled. Trusted. Valued. Be part of something meaningful.
At AcutePet Urgent Care, we’re building a new kind of veterinary urgent care - and it starts with Technicians who are respected for the knowledge, skill, and dedication they bring to the table. We’re expanding to Voorhees, NJ, late fall of 2025, and we are looking for Veterinary Technicians ready to contribute to high-quality care and grow alongside a supportive and capable team.
Each AcutePet location is built around what matters most: care, connection, and trust. As a Veterinary Technician, you’ll support high-quality patient care by assisting with diagnostics and treatments, preparing lab samples, placing IVs under supervision, monitoring patients, and ensuring they remain safe and comfortable throughout their visit. You’ll also help maintain clean and organized treatment areas, support recordkeeping, and provide clear, compassionate communication to clients. Your attention to detail, teamwork, and calm presence help ensure each pet receives timely, effective care in a supportive environment.
Founded by experienced DVMs, AcutePet is led by veterinary professionals who understand what it takes to support high-functioning teams and create sustainable, well-run hospitals. Our leadership is committed to building an employee-centric culture where teams are supported, empowered, and heard, no matter their role. With guidance from our Chief Medical Officer, a board-certified criticalist, and a network of Managing Veterinarians and Practice Managers, we equip our teams to deliver exceptional, emergency-level care in an urgent care setting, with the confidence that comes from trusted leadership.
What It’s Like to Work Here:
We’re a team of kind, capable people who show up for each other and our clients. That means collaboration over hierarchy, mentorship without micromanagement, and a culture where every team member matters.
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting (urgent care or emergency preferred).
Ability to assist with treatments, diagnostics, patient restraint, and daily care under the supervision of licensed staff
Familiarity with basic clinical procedures and patient monitoring
Strong communication skills and a calm, kind approach in fast-paced situations
Detail-oriented, reliable, and eager to learn and grow in a clinical environment
Availability for evening or weekend shifts as needed
What We’re Committed To:
Supporting the mental and emotional well-being of our teams
Offering pay that reflects your experience, role, and contribution to our mission
Building an inclusive and collaborative culture
Delivering accessible, affordable, high-quality care to our communities
Our Compensation & Benefits:
No overnights or major holidays - plus, your birthday is a paid holiday!
Paid time off to support your wellness and life outside of work
Up to six weeks of paid parental and adoptive leave
Dedicated work time for mentorship and 1:1 growth conversations
Support for ongoing training and continuing education, including CE opportunities
$25.00-$32.00 hourly base pay, based on experience, plus eligibility for profit sharing and revenue-based bonuses
