Trainer | Mentor | CDL-A Truck Driver | OTR |

Are you an experienced CDL-A professional with a passion for training? Tornado Transport is looking for a Driver Trainer/Mentor to join our team. In this role, you will be a leader, helping to train the next generation of drivers and maximize your own earnings. This is a full-time, over-the-road (OTR) position with a focus on great home time.

Pay & Bonuses:

• Paid on All Miles: You will be paid for every mile the truck drives, not just your own miles. This includes every mile you drive and every mile your student drives.
• Tiered Pay Scale: You will receive a base CPM (cents per mile) based on your experience level.
• Trainer Pay: Earn an additional $0.10 CPM while you are training a student.
• Productivity Bonus: An extra $0.04 CPM productivity bonus is available.
• Mentor Bonuses:
  • $500 bonus after a student completes 10,000 safe miles.
  • $300 bonus after 20,000 safe miles.
  • $250 for the first student pickup.
  • $250 for the first student dispatch.
• Elite Mentor Status: After training 6 students, you become an Elite Mentor and receive an additional $0.01 CPM for every mile your students drive during their first solo year.

Responsibilities:

• Mentoring and Training: Guide a new driver through a structured training program, including observation and hands-on driving.
• Driving: Take advantage of the 14-hour clock after your student's 5 hours of driving to run the rest of the clock and stack more miles.
• Scheduling: The typical OTR mentor run is 11 days total, offering great home time. You are also recommended to take a week off or run solo between students.

Qualifications:

• CDL-A license with a clean driving record.
• Able to travel and work OTR.
• Minimum experience required to train.
• Professional attitude and a desire to lead the next generation of drivers.
• 3+ months of driving experience.

Mentor Training Program:

• You will participate in a Top-Tier Mentor Training program designed to help you become a confident and successful trainer.
• The training is located in Arkansas, and you will be provided with a free hotel stay.
• The program is a Monday-Thursday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with lunch provided.
• You will receive $850 upon completion of the training.
