Precision Control Panel Fabrication Technician (TIG & Piping)
Build the hardware behind life-saving processes
Your day starts at 7:00 AM in our Bloomingdale, NJ manufacturing shop. You open a new job packet, scan a complex P&ID, and map out the sequence: cut and bend stainless tubing (.035–.049 wall), route compression fittings, and prep a TIG root pass on a run of Schedule 10 pipe — knowing that by the afternoon you may be working Schedule 160, or switching to PVC Schedule 80 and CPVC for a different skid. About 20% of your day calls for TIG welding; the rest is exacting mechanical assembly that rewards a sharp eye and steady hands.
At Control Associates and our subsidiary Electronic Power Design (EPD), you’ll turn drawings into dependable control panels, piping racks, and integrated skids that power pharmaceutical production, chemical processing, and energy facilities. EPD has been doing this for 45+ years with a reputation for seeing around corners, delivering quality that works flawlessly in the field — from regulating natural gas in Manhattan to supporting critical healthcare systems.
