General Maintenance Technician

We're looking for a dependable and versatile General Maintenance Technician to join our Newark team. If you're a hands-on problem solver who takes ownership of your work and keeps things running smoothly, you'll fit right in.
What you'll do
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance across commercial and institutional facilities
- Handle repairs involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general building systems
- Respond to maintenance requests and work orders in a timely and professional manner
- Inspect building systems and identify issues before they become costly problems
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs when needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment at all times
What we're looking for
- 2+ years of general maintenance or facilities technician experience
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry basics
- Ability to read work orders, maintenance logs, and basic technical instructions
- Familiarity with New Jersey building codes and safety regulations is a plus
- Valid New Jersey driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive can-do attitude
