We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice President and Commercial Lines Team Leader to serve as the cornerstone of a clients' insurance agency location near Toms River, NJ. This pivotal leadership role combines strategic oversight, client relationship management, and team development to drive operational excellence and business growth. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of technical insurance expertise, exceptional leadership capabilities, and a proven track record of building high-performing teams in the commercial insurance sector.

As the primary point of contact for the agency location, you will be responsible for shaping the direction of our commercial lines division while fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and client-centric service. This position requires a hands-on leader who can balance strategic planning with day-to-day operational management, ensuring both immediate success and long-term sustainability.

Leadership & Agency Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact and face of the insurance agency location, representing the organization to clients, carriers, and the community
• Provide strategic direction and operational oversight for all commercial lines activities at the location
• Establish and maintain agency standards, protocols, and best practices to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery
• Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute business plans, growth strategies, and revenue targets
• Monitor key performance indicators and implement corrective actions to achieve organizational objectives
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, carrier guidelines, and internal policies

• Directly manage and lead a team of 10 commercial lines account managers and assistants, providing clear direction, support, and accountability
• Recruit, interview, and hire top talent to build a diverse, skilled, and motivated commercial lines team
• Design and implement comprehensive onboarding programs for new team members to ensure rapid integration and productivity
• Develop and execute ongoing training initiatives to enhance technical knowledge, sales skills, and customer service capabilities
• Mentor team members through regular one-on-ones
