Air Traffic Space and New Entrant Operations Specialist
Location: Remote

Duties to be performed:

The work requires a comprehensive knowledge of the Air Traffic Control field and familiarization with the many integral components of the industry which comprise the National Airspace System. Expertise in space operations and other new entrant is required. Work involves comprehensive knowledge of the Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) process and international coordination among Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs). Specialists must have the ability to apply this knowledge to the integration of space operations and new entrant operations into airspace systems. Collaborates with all other team elements to provide timely, clear, and concise information needed for effective management. Must be able to communicate clearly and tailor their message to the target audience. Hardware/software experience is desirable.

Education and Qualifications
- 20 years experience required
- No college degree required

Qualifications:

1. Ability to communicate well as among various lines of business, industry and stakeholders.
2. Makes recommendations for training/new projects/studies, taking into account available resources and the accomplishment of goals and objectives.
3. Applies expertise toward the completion of training/projects/studies and reports.
4. Analyzes and evaluates the effectiveness of equipment, facilities, and procedures.
5. Conducts investigations, evaluations, analytics, write reports/presentations, briefs support office as directed.
6. Develops methods to improve customer service and the quality of support provided.
7. As directed collaborates freely among stakeholders, key personnel, facilities, provides feedback and consults with other Staff Support Specialists and key personnel regardless of duty location.

Some/all telework may be available depending on the requirements of the duties of the support office and some travel may be required .

Must possess knowledge of the FAA's work and progress on space operations and UAS/UAS operations. Knowledge and experience associated with the concept of UTM and UTM architecture are highly desired.

Must possess knowledge if integration of space operations and other new entrant operations.

Must possess experience in terminal Air Traffic Control along with knowledge and experience piloting airframes within various airspace systems.
