Join Our Tree House Staff Family! Afternoon Teacher for Preschool (1PM/2PM to 5:30PM)

The Tree House is seeking a caring and energetic Afternoon Teacher to oversee preschool children ages 2.5 to 5. This position is perfect for the individual pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field who is looking to gain hands-on experience in a supportive and nurturing team environment. It is also a perfect position for an individual who enjoys working with children and is looking to work in a flexible, part-time position in the afternoon.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and engage children during aftercare hours (1/2PM to 5:30PM).
• Facilitate outdoor games and activities, fostering kindness, teamwork and creativity.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all children.
• Build positive relationships with children, families and staff.

The Individual We're Looking For Will:

• Have a passion for working with young children in a play-based, nurturing environment.
• Be dependable, patient, flexible and have a positive attitude.
• Have prior experience working with children (i.e. caregiver, babysitter, teacher, etc.) (preferred).

High School Diploma or equivalent

Passion for working with children aged 2 to 5

Patience, kindness and a sense of humor

• One or more years of experience in the early childhood field or working with children
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred
