The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Summary:

The Clerk oversees the daily operation of the front desk in the hospital main lobby and works with the Patient Satisfaction team to ensure a high quality experience for all who enter Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High school diploma

Preferred:

• 3-5 years in Patient Satisfaction, Customer Service, or related field preferred

Scheduling Requirements:

• Two Part-Time Clerk openings at 24 hrs and 28 hrs weekly
  • 24 hrs: two 8 hr shifts at 12P-8:30P + two 4 hr shifts at 4P-8:30P
  • 28 hrs: two 12 hr shifts at 8A-8:30P + one 4 hr shift at 4P-8:30P
    • Weekday, evening and weekend hrs required

Essential Functions:

• Refers patient and family member concerns to the Department of Patient Satisfaction for investigations when indicated,
• Serves as a role model and mentor to volunteers and front desk personnel
• Assists callers by providing appropriate and accurate information
• Assures a neat and clean main lobby environment and initiates corrective action as appropriate
• Assures that the professional visitor identification policy is implemented at all times
• Coordinates patient information inquiries using telephone extensions,
• Initiates contact with all individuals entering through the main entrance and offers to assist them in reaching their destination,
• Operates the front desk inclusive of related technology and systems,
• Provides visitors with information concerning area accommodations and amenities,
• Performs all other duties as assigned
